Off/On Trigger Switch on a Chop Saw

Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be discussing the on-off trigger switch for a metal cutting chop saw. As you take a look at the trigger switch, you will notice there is a black trigger button and a red safety button. To be able to depress the trigger button, you must have the safety button depressed firmly and then you can pull your trigger. Without the safety button depressed, the trigger will not go in. As you are cutting your material once you have secured it in the vice, go ahead and hold down your safety switch and pull your trigger. Once you are finished making your cut, you want to release the trigger switch and at this point, your saw should still be in the down position. You are going to want to make sure that your blade comes to a complete stop. Once it has done that, then you can raise your unit.
