Crank Vise & Angle Plate on a Chop Saw

Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be showing you how to set the angle plate and vice. You will notice on the angle plate that there are several makings for different degreed angles. To reset these, we first need to take a socket and loosen up the bolts. Next, you want to set it to your desired angle and tighten up the bolts. When setting our vise, there is a quick release that you turn back and you can pull it and set it quickly. So I am going to place a piece of stock in the vice and tighten the clamp, lower my quick release and tighten it up, then I am going to test it to make sure that it is secure and it won’t come out.
