Safety Tips for Using a Chop Saw

Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be discussing general safety with chop saws. The first thing is that you want to know your power tool. You want to make sure you read all the instruction manuals. You understand what your power tools’ capabilities are, what the application is, and limitation as well as potential hazards. Next you want to make sure to ground all tools. This tool is equipped with a three-pronged plug. It must be plugged into a properly grounded receptacle. You want to make sure to keep all safety guards in place and in working order with proper alignment and adjustment. You also want to keep your work area clean which will help prevent accidents. You want to take the time to clean the tool, your work area and especially the floor. The floor can become very slippery with little chunks of metal or any other debris that may have accumulated.
