How to Use Polystyrene Picture Frame Molding

These are 2 samples of polystyrene. Polystyrene is a foam that they add a hardener to and they put it into a molding. It molds it and shoots it out. I have picked up a similar frame that wood purposely to give you some clues. By looking at it you really can not tell which one is the polystyrene and which one is the wood frame without me standing here and telling you. You can pick it out and probably tell a little bit. These 2 frames the wood frame and the polystyrene frame are going to weigh about the same about the same size. Just like these two are going to weigh about the same at the same size. The part about the polystyrene if you drop it on its corner it is probably going to fall apart, it is going to break inside here. These are more glued together then they are anything. Unfortunately, it is a lot of like plastic. You have to be very careful with it but if you take care of it and let it stay on the wall, nobody would know that but you. Unless it falls or somebody hits it. So you have some iffy points there that you have to make a decision. If you find the polystyrene is much less costly than the wood frames are because it is easier made and it is made with less costly product.
