Using the Owner's Manual Correctly to Clean an Oven

Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail. On behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to clean and maintain your oven. The first step before we start to clean our stove top range or our oven is you want to look at your owners manuals. These could be quiet informative and telling you what needs to be use for cleaning for instance if you have a gas range verses and electric range you're going to use different products. Particularly if you have enamel verses a glass top some ovens it's okay to use some oven cleaner in it other ones it's not. So you really want to make sure to look at your owners manual before you even start cleaning your oven and stove top. If you don't have your owners manual, you can either contact the company and they would be more than happy to send you a copy or you can also look online. If you have no way of getting the owner manual, then there are a few things that you can use that are pretty much guaranteed to be safe. Certainly hot soapy water using mild soap such as a dish soap on your stove top that is going to help with grease cutting if you use an all purpose cleaner for your stove top to help get rid some of the grease. As long as you use a good mild cleaner such as an environmentally friendly one, then you're going to be fine. Baking soda can be used in a paste form for getting out some more of the stubborn stains.
