Protective Clothing & Helmet for Welding Safely

Hi! My name is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip we will be discussing the proper clothing for arc welding. When arc welding, you need to make sure that you have an arc welding helmet with a shade of 10, 12 or 14. I personally use a #12. You want to make sure that you have a good pair of safety glasses and you also want to make sure you have a good pair of leather gloves that are the gauntlet style. In addition, you want to have a good leather welding jackets. You want to make sure that you are wearing jeans that have no holes or frays in them and you also want to make sure that you have a good pair of leather shoes that are comfortable. When all said is done, you should look similar to how I look.
