How to Break Glass for Stained-Glass Projects

Alright, now we are going to break the glass. We've already scored it, we heard the right sound. We can see that little scratch that has been made. And it's not just a scratch, it's actually a fracture that's in the glass and so when we decide to break it, the glass should break on that fracture. There's many ways to break glass. I'm going to show you this first time how to do it with the pliers. I've got the pliers on one side, remember it's the breaking pliers, the ones that don't have, only the tips come together, they are not parallel. I'm going to get that pretty close to the crack. And you don't want to do it slowly. You want to do it in one firm motion and break it away from you. So, let's see how we do. There we go, very clean break, and the reason it happened was because we scored that glass ahead of time and we basically prepared that glass to break right along that line.
