How to Assemble the Front Legs of the Chair

And you can just kind of wiggle it and coax it into place. The glue really helps to make it slide easier. We got this and this. Like I said before, a little tap sometimes will help that spindle go down and seat in the hole. As you can see on this old chair, this spindle is warped a little bit, so we'll have to take that into consideration. Take that into consideration when we clamp it so we don't want to clamp it too hard to break that. Alright, so now we have these two assemblies together. Whoops - missed the glue in these holes. And we'll set this on the spindles. This part, you're just going to kind of have to coax it around and fool with it and get everything lined up. So you'll have to push the spindles around a little bit, get them where they're on their holes, there we go. I'm not going to worry about the dripping glue too much right now because we need to be pretty quick about this.
