Hey! I am Mark Black and welcome to expertvillage.com and we are going to be talking about advanced theory in song writing. Now another thing I want to talk about, about the melody is that tension and resolution in terms of what notes over a chord, specific chord sound the most peaceful or agree with the notes of the chords. So for example, in melody this is the most strong, this is. These are the strongest notes and these are the weakest notes over a specific chord and that means strong, weak, that this will be most normal sound and this will be the most unusual sound. Now this does not matter if this is a major chord or minor chord but I am going to play a major chord behind this.
