The Trill Technique for Saxophone Beginners

For expertvillage.com this is Mitch Kaplan. In this clip we will be talking about trilling. Trilling is a classical technique that is used most often in several different older type of classical music. Some modern types use it also and basically you would lift up and down your fingers and you would get the sound to go up and down. Before the 18th century, they would start from the note above for the trill. Afterwards they would start from the note and they would go to the note above and that is your classical technique for trilling.
