Scales are very important because it gives you the expertise on how to play different classical or jazz music. It provides you with a better sound in the upper notes and gets you more familiar with all the notes that in possibilities you can use. The first scale I am going to play is called the major scale. We will start off with that because most books, most method books start off with that one. That was the G-major scale. Now the next particular scale, we will talk about is the natural minor. The next scale is the natural minor and we will be using just a down and a minor third. It sounds more melancholy and sadder. The harmonic minor is raised seventh, so you would rise to seventh step, going up and going down; sounds similar to this. Again there is that Egyptian type of sound.
