Adjusting a Polaris 180 Pool Cleaner Back Wheel

"ALLYN CHRISTOPHER: Now, you know I like that sound. Got the two wheels, the side one and the front one working well. Now, you can see here, this wheel, as we talk about is a passive wheel. It is attached to the nothing, well except for this little wheel. I guess we shouldn't discount its purpose in life. What it's going to do here is this spin attached to the power, this one is the flywheel, turns this wheel. All right, we took this one off earlier just to make sure our adjustments where unmolested by the movement of any other wheel; now, it's pretty easy, it's just a channeled tire, I'm going to put it on there, and move it around until it gets into place. Attaching these new wheels as they're nice and stiff so I'm pushing right through there, getting it around, and then I'm going to flip it over and double check that it hasn't bound and is nice and evenly placed. Okay. Now, you can start to see what's happening here. I'm going to push this away. And this is engaging this wheel. It's even a nice, tight bite here when I've got it, just pushed down fully engaged. So, what we're going to do is on this, pretty much the same routine, except, well, it's just not dealing with the gearings it's--bearings rather--gearings--it's dealing with the passive wheel. All right, so, I'm going to push this down. And now there is, and out of the way, there is a gap there. It will come up to me, so we're going to get this to nudge just in there, so when it comes up and puts a little bit of pressure on it, it can engage it, and that as the tires wear, okay, that--an area I'm tightening these. You know good little tight in there. As the tires wear, the flywheel has something to come up to continue engage with. Now, we did our job correctly. Look at that. I love it."
