How to Play Kings & Queens Solitaire

Hi, this is Antonia Hoyland on behalf of Expert Village. This game is called Kings and Queens. In this game you're going to use a single pack of cards without jokers. Before you do anything else, pull out the two black kings and the two red queens. Lay these cards in a row, starting with the black kings, and then moving onto the red queens. These are your foundations. These foundations are a little different than other foundations. They have special rules. For the kings, you build upward by suite, as in, on the king you put ace, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, and queen. The red queens are the opposite. You build down, as in, you put on a jack, and then a ten, and then a nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, ace, and then the king. But where do you get the cards from? In the game there are three waste piles to pick from. Deal from the stock to the waste piles left to right. When one of the cards can go on the foundations, go ahead and put them there. When you run out of cards in the stockpile, take all three waste piles and combine them into another big pile. A new stockpile. From here, you deal cards from the stockpile onto a single waste pile. You might have guessed that this game is very, very, very difficult to win. For that reason, a win isn't necessarily considered getting all the cards from the stockpile onto the foundations, so much as trying to get as many as you can.
