Solitaire Terms & Rules

Hi this is Antonia Hoyland on behalf of Expert Village. There are some terms that you need to know before looking at all these lessons. The first terms is variation that is what you build on. From ace to king or another way. Also you are going to need to know about stock pile that is the pile that you draw from. Finally you are going to need to know about the waste pile which is the name is a waste pile. You put the cards there when you are done. Often times you can not draw anything but from the top of the waste pile so you want to try to keep that in as low as possible. Different solitaires have different objective, some of the objectives are built on foundations. Like you see in regular solitaire it is Ace to king. The objective is to pair things off either by 6 of clubs or 6 of spades or by suit or by adding them together such to make 11 or 7.
