How to do a Clean & Press with Kettlebells

RASUL AHMED DAVIS: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Rasul Davis and my company is Punch Kettlebell Gym, New York City, and today I'm going to show you how to get into the swing of things with kettlebells. Now, I showed you the clean; now, I'm going to show another part of the exercise called "clean and press." So you clean it up to the shoulder, and now you press it. Your legs should be straight, glutes tight to protect the lower back, and straight up, and straight down, and back to the floor. Your arm should be in line with your ear when you lift. Most people lift forward from the dumb--using dumbbells. It's bad for the shoulder. A lot of people have rotator cuff problems. So here, you should have good alignment--your legs, your back, shoulders, everything--and you should be relaxed. It's not about tension; it's about tension and relaxation.
