Stitching Up a Bound Buttonhole

Hi, I'm Candi Cane Cannel with Expert Village. Now we're ready to finish it up on the fourth side. (stitching) I'm just going to come back around from the initial line and just finish that last little bit. Once you have done that take it out of your machine and on the back of your buttonhole you can go ahead and trim this access. You just want to trim it down about a quarter of an inch to eighth of an inch, this just gives it a little extra security on the back so that it's not going to unravel. Turn it around to the front and again if you were sewing a garment you would be using the same color of thread so you won't see it. The whole idea is that you just get this really nice bound buttonhole but the stitching is invisible. But again for demonstration purposes I wanted to be able to see it and this is what a machine sewing bound buttonhole looks like.
