Use a Collage to Help with Shopping

Hi, my name is Lanie Evans and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to show you another way collage can help you plan. I'm looking for a new chair for my bedroom, so I've been wanting something but I'm not quite sure what. So I've looked through magazines and I've gathered several different chairs that I want and I've narrowed it down to this simple style chair. So I've decided to go ahead and glue it on and create a collage so that when I go shopping I have something very handy that I can use. Now you can also do something like this on a larger scale when you're planning or doing any interior design. It's really great to have an idea to see if the colors will go together and you can hang this up on your wall, on your fridge and just kind of look at it for a little while and see if it's something that you really like before you spend your money. So I'm going to glue the chair down and I've also decided that I need to capture some of the colors that I have in my bedroom. So I have a nice blue wall. I'm going to capture a color that's most similar to it and put that on the collage as well. I didn't think about any of the other furniture pieces that I have in the room or any other colors. I'm going to glue that down and that's going to represent the bedroom wall color. So I need to think about what kind of colors I want my chair to be. So I'm also going to look at colors that I think are interesting. So I'm going to look through my stack of papers and get started. So now that I've found a few colors that I think I like, I'm going to see if they go well with the chair and the color of the wall, so I'm going to put those down here too. Also any patterns or designs like stars or stripes, anything like that I do like striped pattern generally and I do like stars although it's not necessarily together in that order. So I'm going to see if any of those things work together. So once I've found the colors and designs that I think are to my preference I'm going to go ahead and finish this off by cutting off the edges and sticking this on my refrigerator to see if I still like it in 2 days.
