Chair Forward Fold for Prenatal Yoga

A nice way to lengthen through the spine is a nice flat back flow so we're going to be using the chair again for this pose. So come on up. You are going to be using the back of this chair so I'm going to turn this chair backwards and have you place your hands on the back of this chair, get a nice firm grip because you are going to be using this for a little bit of support, o'kay? Now what I'm going to have you do is very slowly, the first one, just walk your feet back and start lowering down until you feel a nice flat back, turn your toes slightly inwards, yes. Keep that alignment going. Now notice that how she literally from arms, through her neck, down the length of her spine, she has got a nice beautiful alignment and legs are dropped straight down underneath. Now let's turn it into a little bit of a flow, very slowly start walking forward lifting up as you come and as you come keep the neck in alignment and slowly walk straight back into it. Keep that neck in alignment the whole time, beautiful, keep that alignment going, perfect, walk back up, we're going to do it one more time. Feel some space coming into that spine as you do this. Walking back gently, beautiful, reach out through the crown of your head, beautiful, last time walk forward.
