Kicking & Punting a FootballHi! I am Geoff and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am now going to talk to you about one very important special team’s play that is critical in most beginning football game. This is called the punt. The punt is used as a method, a field position for putting the opposition in a situation where their field position is not what they would prefer to be. Essentially you utilize the punt when the other team has stopped you from moving forward offensively. So what we are going to do is, Ben is going to assist me here by hiking the ball back to me and I am going to show you the basic fundamentals of punting the football. Set, hike; Ben snaps the ball back to me and make certain that the laces are up, I bring my right foot back and I step into the ball and kick and those are the fundamentals of punting the football.

you didnt cover the angle of the fb ,pointed toe,leg swing,head down,wieght distribution from back to front,arms extention,highth and distance..ie the drop of the ball the lower the drop the further the FB will travel for distance and visversa...2 types of situations..short game and the long game..ie short game is like punting from the 50 yd.line 2 things aim for the sideline towards the 10 yrd line or punt for hang time and try and pin them inside the 10 yd.line and when punting to a dangorus retuner hang time will control him or kick away towards the sidlines to pin the returner from breaking a long run. thanks for the video
he forgot to tell you that you want to put your hands on the side of the foot ball and to use both hands or else it will go off to the side and not in the middle
