Chair Hip Opener Pose for Prenatal Yoga

A great way to create space in the hips is using the chair doing a nice hip opener so we're going to have Emily show us. Go ahead and stand right up. Now we're going to have her turn around and face the chair. Now we're going to have her place your hands on the chair on either side with a nice firm grip. Now walk back just a little bit until you feel a nice flat back, beautiful. Throughout this pose I want you to continue looking straight down towards the chair keeping that neck in alignment making sure there is no stress on your shoulders. Alright coming in to the hip stretch, extend the left leg behind you, keeping it straight just to begin with, and then bend the knee, drop off to the side opening up through that hip. Drop the leg, extend the leg, bend the knee and drop it off to the side, beautiful, keep looking down, drop the knee, extend the leg, bend the knee and drop it off. I'm going to hold it this time and I'm going to come behind you, hook the knee into my side, hold the hip. Are you good and still comfortable? Keep looking down and I'm going to gently release, extend that leg and I'm going to gently drop it down. Walk up slightly and stand right up.
