Creating a New Google Notebook

So, now I'm going to actually start talking about the- what the notebook is, and everything. So, I kind of explained it a little bit. To start off, let's just create a new notebook. And, it's really easy. See, right here under your notebooks column on the left, "Create a New Notebook". And then you have the option to name your notebook. Whatever it is you want. And hit okay. So that's all there is to creating a new notebook. You see it's appeared over here in the Notebooks column. Also, just real quick: you see I can also sort this by alphabetical or date, which is what happens already. I've already set it up to be sorted the same way for either. But, you can sort your notebooks like that. And then you've also got the option to delete them down here, depending on which one you're selecting. You can see I'm selected on something when it's highlighted blue like this. So I'm going to talk a little more about what a notebook is, and - you know - what you use this for. I think it's probably a good thing if you're, maybe, researching a product. If you're just pretty much researching anything, you want to organize all in one place. I think, maybe, for this example, just go ahead and rename this TV. So, maybe I'm researching for a new TV. So that might be something I'd do, and then I'll be showing you how to do this, but I'll go around and find different reviews of TVs and if I find one I like, I'll clip part of the reviews and organize all the reviews right here. Maybe each section I make will be about a particular TV I'm looking at. And then the notes in that section will be reviews. So that kind of gives you an idea. Another thing Google says this is good for, is maybe doing something like planning a vacation. You know, just planning or researching, a good way to organize a lot of information that you're coming across. I kind of went over this already, but let me give you a quick overview of the interface again. You've got some toolbar options up here. You've the bold, italic, underline options. Highlighting text. Text color. You've got some fonts, just these right here for now. And you can change the text size. You can create a bullet list or a number list. And then here's a quick way to hyperlink. And you can also remove any of this formatting by clicking this button. And if you're a Gmail user or a member of Google products - like Google docs, documents - they all pretty much use the simple toolbar options. And then also, over here, you've got the option to create a new note. And that's what this is right here. That's a note. And I create a section by clicking right here. So I'll be talking more about actually creating your notebook in the following clips.
