The heat embossing technique we're going to use is going to be using craft ink. The reason I like using craft inks is because you can use any color you want on your white paper. For this one, I've chosen a pixie pink color of craft ink. I'm just going to wipe my piece of card stock. Once again, this keeps the embossing powder from only sticking to where your ink is. I'm going to stamp up my stamp. Close that up. Go ahead and stamp it. This time we're using the crystal clear. When we emboss it, it's going to turn up pink just like the color of the ink that we used. You want to cover your project really good. Be generous with it. This stuff is not expensive. Just cover that really good. Close it up before you do heat emboss because it does get everywhere. Take your heat gun. You want to hold it an inch or two inches away. You're looking for it to appear glossy. That's when you'll know when it's done. I usually start in one corner or one spot. Then once I see it starting to come clear, I go ahead and move my heat gun to the next position. That was pretty quick and easy. Here is the beautiful medallion that has been heat embossed with craft ink. Again, these projects are a lot of fun. They add a lot of dimension to your cards. I hope you enjoy them in your next project.
