How to Use Embossing When Stamping

The next technique that I really love is called heat embossing. I really like that it gives it a pow to your card or your scrapbooking page, or your 3D item. Whatever it is that you're creating. This really gives it that hunch. What you need for heat embossing is of course, a heat tool, your powder pal, ink, and your different kinds of embossing powders. The first one that we're going to do is going to be on a dark piece of paper. The first thing I'm going to do is wipe my card stock. What this does is it's like one of those things that the baseball pitchers use. It keeps the friction down so your embossing pattern is only going to stick where you want it to, which is a good thing because as you get into embossing, you'll have embossing powder all over the place. You'll have glitter in on your face. It can be a little bit messy. I'm going to ink up my stamp with my versa mark ink, and then I'm going to go ahead and press it down. This first one I want to do just a little bit of clear embossing powder. Now that it's inked and ready to go. There's a couple of ways you can do it. I like to use these containers. Go ahead and push it in and let it knock off. You can also use a tray. Whatever works best for you here. Now onto the next step.
