How to Remove the Manifold on a Motorcycle

In this clip we're going to be removing the manifold. This is the manifold, this is the intake right here that the carburetors hooks up to, which is the seal that we were talking about changing. It's the seal that slides right on over that. You can tell it was dry, it was really stuck to there so this is a good, this needed to be changed. Because basically why this is so important is you just want fuel air coming in through here, through the fuel carburetor. This is that specialty tool I was talking about. It's actually made to take these bolts off. There's four bolts, 1/4 inch Allen's, two on the other side where the horn is, that's why we took the horn off so we can gain access to the other side. But this tools very handy. It is difficult if you were to have the set of Allen's like this you, would have to grind this down to gain access to this they do make these already ground down with special angles. This is a ratcheting style which makes it real nice and convenient, and he's going to remove this, and then we'll show the gasket surface prep we're going to do to the manifold and to the head.
