In this clip we're going to explain to you some of the tools that your going to need to do the job. You should have an assortment of Allen?s, an assortment of deep well standard sockets or shallow sockets, a couple of ratchets. If you don't have an Allen set, you can get an Allen set like this. It's a little faster to do it with a ratcheting socket set. Another good thing to have is a service manual. An OEM service manual is a very important item to have. They're not that much money. You'll notice that I don't use a torch wrench. I know what the torches are. I've done it so many times, I have a feel for it. If your doing it for the first time, you should have a torch wrench. It's important that you get a polishing steel wool. It's a fine grit steel wool. We're going to use this to clean certain parts of the bike. This is a specialty tool. Basically, this specialty tool is a quarter inch ball Allen. It's short to get into tight spaces. Very handy tool. It's highly recommended that almost every nut and bolt should be lock tightened. We've got blue lock tight, then you have a red lock tight. This is a little higher strength. We're mostly be dealing with the blue on the smaller bolts. In this job, you generally won't have to use the red lock tight. Another thing you'll need is an assortment of wrenches. Common ones, depending on the model, you'll use 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 11/16" your going to be using. The 5/8" is also a common one. You can get regular open end with the closed end, 12 point. I also have an assortment that are ratchets, a ratcheting style. I've got two assortments with swivel heads. I don't know what we did without these before, but these are very handy tools. An assortment of screw drivers, Phillips head. There's rarely a regular flat head screw driver involved. It's usually Phillips head. I've got the assortment here and that's it.
