Learn About Height Advantage in Basic Heroscape

MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike with Expert Village, and now we're going to go over height advantage. Now, height advantage is something you will see in Heroscape, the basic version, and what it means is, that the creature who is attacking or defending, and is up a level from the creature that is either attacking or defending from, then it will add an attack die or defend die respectively for whatever action is it taking. Now, once again, here we have the Dumutef Guard, and he actually is attacking down at one of the Marro Drones. Now, once again, Dumutef Guard has an attack of 4, it's four attack dice. But since he has height advantage, you will add an extra attack die, and you will get to roll five instead. Now, as we see, we've rolled three out of that five, and now, the Marro Guard must defend, but he only has a defense three, and the height disadvantage that it has given him means that he has to roll all three shields to stay alive. And, we only rolled one shield, and because of height advantage, he's easily killed off the Marro Drone and that is height advantage.
