Hi! My name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to discuss short straight styles. When you're beginning your blow out, you're going to want to use various products. If you have fine hair like Heather, you're going to want to use something lightweight. I recommend a body mousse. Any kind of mousse that promotes volume. You're going to want to go through it. Start combing it through the hair using your fingers. You want to really kind of start, especially with root lifting sprays, which would word ideal for her hair. You want to actually spray it right on the root. They usually have a concentrated nozzle in order to get that. You're going to want to use light sprays. If we're looking to promote volume in her hair, we are not going to want anything that is going to weigh her hair down throughout the course of the day. Finishing products are also something that you need to keep in mind. Something that is a little bit on the lighter side and it's a little bit creamier. It's more like your cream wax. It's not as heavy as what your average wax is. It's a little bit more pliable. A little bit more lightweight. Again, if you have fine hair, you're going to worry about your hair falling throughout the course of the day. If you do have that courser hair, you can use things that are a little bit heavier, such as gels, which is more of your maximum hold. You can also use pomade, waxes, fiber pomade, and fiber waxes, which will have a bit of heavier hold, maintain, and help really course hair lay a little bit flatter.
