CALAB LABARDA: Now, in this series, you'll learn how to do X's. Now, you've seen X's before with just one hand. Now, you're going to learn how to put them together, okay? One is just going to be following the other. All right. So as I've said before, X's are a great offense or a great defense, okay? So now, we're going to put them together. It's going to go like this. One, come across, two. And you got to be able to pull out of it without hitting, okay? So you should be able to do a strike, X, back, X, stay in it and come out, okay? Now, these are more difficult move to learn, and it's going to take a little bit more coordination and it has to look really flowy. You can't be choppy. You can't be like, okay? That's going to be choppy. So let's go ahead and learn how to do this. So it's very simple. Hold your nunchucks in front of you, one thumb-length from the top, okay? Take your right hand, do an X and cross over to your left hand. One, and here. Okay, now, your hand should be crisscrossed. Now, crossover, two. Again, one, two. Cross, one, two, okay? As you get it, now start flowing. As it go down, I'm going to let my whole body down. I'll come up and I'm going to switch up, switch down, switch up and down. Okay, switch, right hand on top, up and down, left hand on top, right hand down. And then I'm going to start flowing with it, okay? And just give it a nice, smooth motion. You can go wide. See how my arms are far apart? Or get your wrists really close together, okay? And all my nunchucks are doing are following each other in a nice, really neat pattern of X's, okay? So this is going to be your X's or figure 8's. So once again on top, crisscross one, two, one, two, all right? And that's going to be your X's.
Great Video... I am a beginner with using speed chucks and have been working on X strikes for weeks. Feeling frustrated until watching Calab's video. I finally have it... Thanks
