How to Hold a Parrot

In this clip we need to capture Allister to be able to trim his nails. We need to hold him in a towel so that we can hold him safely and comfortably while we can get to his nails and wings. CR will place Allister on the floor and cover him with a towel and then pull him up so that he's at my level to trim the nails and he's restrained comfortably. He's not hurt although he's making noises that he isn't happy about what is going on but this position does not hurt them at all. He holds his fingers around the birds cheeks and holds the bottom of the bird. You do not want to cover their chest because they have to be able to expand their chest to breathe. You don't squish over their chest and don't hold around their neck. His fingers are just grasping the side of the birds cheek and underneath to hold the wings in so he doesn't start flapping.
