How to Blend Polymer Clay Colors

Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make a beautiful necklace out of polymer clay. The next step is we are going to take our colors and we are going to blend each one of them together to make the clay that we are going to use for each bead. So first we are going to make our green beads and we are going to take some of this blue. Blueish-green. We are going to take some of this green. What I'm doing is I'm making strips all of the same length, putting them in order and again there is no real specific way to do this. You can do this any way that you like this is how I like to do it. You are going to take all of my green colors, smush them together, fold this in half and I'm going to twirl it all the way around. Twisting as much as I can to get every color on every side. You see this is essentially going to be almost what our bead looks like and you can see how beautiful this looks. We are going to take our purple clay and we are going to mix it together to make the base for our purple beads. Just like we did for the green we are going to roll each one out into logs. You can make them as thin or thick as you want again there is no real rules here. It is all up to you whatever you want to do and I'm going to start twisting. Rolling and twisting. Now we are ready to make our beads.
