Learn About the Major 7th Chord's 2nd Inversion

MIKE LAIS: Hi, I'm Mike Lais. And on behalf of Expert Village, this is playing piano 7th chords. So that was the root and the first inversion example. The second inversion, just like the triads, we're going to be starting off on the 5th of the chord. So to give you the playing example, we're going to take the C major again. Okay, again in root position, it looks this. But now, we're going to jump up to the second inversion so we're going to have the 5th be the root. So we're going to take these two and put them on top the 1 and the 3. Just put them right there. So we're going to start of on the 5, go 7, 1, 3. That's your C major 7th, second inversion.
