MIKE LAIS: Hi, I'm Mike Lais. And on behalf of Expert Village, this is playing piano 7th chords. So a major 7th chord, it consists of the 1, the major 3rd, the 5 and the major 7th. And what this is going to be, we're going to spell this off in the root position first. So let's start off in the key of C just for a little variety. Seeing it's how we've done. If you've been watching before, I did a few examples in G. But this is a C major 7 chord in root position. We're going to do a C, E, G and the major seventh which is B. Okay? And it just kinda gives you that jazzy feel to it. And that's the chord in root position. Again, it's going to be 1, 3, 5, 7. If we were going to change keys, for example, let's say E flat, we're going to do the same thing. It's 1, 3, 5 and then major 7th, right there. So that's your major 7th in root position, but we're going to do the all the examples in C. So I'll just bring that back. And again a C root position major 7th chord is 1, major 3, 5, major 7.
