How to Do Front to Back Partner Bachata Dance Steps

So, we're learning the Bachata partnering. The Basic steps. In the last clip we did the side to side basic, now we're going to do the front and back basic. We're staying in a closed position and we are going to start with the side to side basic so you can see the difference. Here's the side to side. It goes one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Front and back, five, six, other side again. Side, three, four, five, six, here's the forward and back transition. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Notice, the transition. The side to side, we're in closed position, I'm using my frame. Now, to shift to going front and back, I have to give a little bit of a push here and I have to release some of the pressure from the back to let her know. Also, instead of being lined up square, I'm going to line up a little bit off center so that my foot falls right in between hers and her foot's going to be right in between mine. Then we come back, two, three, and. Again, let me show it one more time, smoothing it out. It goes basic, two, three, five, six, seven. Transition. Notice I pushed on my hand a little bit. I exaggerated it. One more time to the side. Now here's the front and back step. Front, two, three, and, five, six, seven, eight. That's the Bachata switching from side basic to front and back basic.
