How to Do Left Turn Bachata Dance Steps
We're learning the basics in Bachata. I showed you the side step, the forward and back step. The next part, turns, are very important. So, I'm going to start with the most basic turn, to the left. It comes out of the basic step and you would always do this if you dance in an open position, you can never turn when you're in closed position. You'll see that later. But here's the basic, it goes one, two, three, four. And here's where the turn comes in. You step left, right, left, and. Notice I still kept that hip there. Let me break it down. You're stepping the same, first is just have a basic as usual, nothing changes. Step right, step left, step right, here's the hip, here's where the change comes in. You're stepping left, you're doing half a circle stepping right, another half a circle stepping left, bring that foot in ready for the hip. Hip. And you're ready to continue with the step again. So, let's put that all together. Here we go, starting from the one. We step one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Again, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. That's the Bachata turn, turning to the left.
