Open Voicing Transposed for the Hymn Style in A Cappella Music

Hello my name is Duane Carter and on behalf of expertvillage.com I'm talking about writing for A Capella on ensemble. Hymn style writing in open voice is different from close voice because you have a wider interval between parts. This becomes very important where you consider the over all ensemble and the greater distance you have for the range for the entire ensemble. Therefor you have to be very careful about how you voice the parts so you get what you want. What I'm doing in this next example I have put the melody back in the soprano voice in order to do so I had to transpose the ensemble so that we have the range for individual parts that we want. So here is example of open voice hymn style writing.
