How to Fix or Install a Cabinet Latch
What I’m going to show you today is fixing, or installing, a cabinet latch. As you can tell, I took this one off because it was out of alignment by half an inch. As you can see, I removed the receptacle end of the latch because it was a half inch out of alignment. And what you want to do - what the easiest thing that I found was you just put this part on the cabinet first. And if you pop this over it with the screw in it and you just close the door on it, and the screw will mark exactly where it needs to go.

Then you take this part off. And just hold the cabinet steady. And make sure that this one is real tight - you don’t it sliding back and forth like that one. Just bend, straighten it all up, and then you should be able to close the cabinet just fine.
