MIKE LAIS: Hi, I'm Mike Lais and on behalf Expert Village, this is diminished chord voicings. All right, the minor 7th flat 5, 3rd inversion; it's a mouthful, I know. But basically, what this is going to be is just starting on the 7th of the chord, or the flat 7 in this case, and then spelling it up accordingly. So, remember our flat 7, flat 5 chord is 1, flat 3, flat 5 and flat 7 are the notes. So, if we start on the flat 7, we're going to spell it up. Let's check it out. Here we are with our C minor seventh flat 5 chord again, 1, flat 3, flat 5, flat 7, and we're going to start on the flat 7. So, we're going to go, flat 7, 1, flat 3, flat 5. It looks just like that. Okay, so now, just like the diminished chord, you can practice arpeggiating the thing, where we're going to start on this position and then we can go here, then we can go here, then we can go here. So, it's root, 1st inversion, 2nd inversion, 3rd inversion. It's your minor 7th flat 5, 3rd inversion.
