Breaker Off Before Installing Garbage Disposal

Michael Raines, Expert Village. Well, our disposal is down, we've turned off the electricity so we can play with the electric connections in the bottom of the disposal. So, let's have a look at that door that I have told you about earlier that has our little electrical connections inside. Well, here's the door that we talked about earlier. That is access to our electrical. We just loosen this screw here, give the door a tap, it comes out. There's our electrical so now let's see what's going on in here. We pull out the electrical; oh look at what we got here, some loose wires. See, here's our problem. This wire is loose. It's the neural wire, and that's why I can touch it. But of course the power wire isn't really live yet, because the switch upstairs is off. So, here is our problem kids, we need to reattach this, with the wire nut that was already there. Oh look, here's the reason why, our wire nut keep spinning. We have a bad wire nut. Wow, there's our problem. So, the problem solved. So now, this big old problem turned out to be a 5 cent wire nut. So, all we're going to do is put on a wire nut put it back together and see if it works. So, let's grab a wire nut.
