Now I'm going to talk to you a little bit about household timers. This is something that I mentioned actually for another series for Expert Village, a home security series. Because this is a great thing to have for home security. Which of course makes people think that you're home when you're usually not. Or if you just want this to turn specific lights on or whatever it is you want to be turned on because this will except pretty much any type of outlet. So what this is like I said its just a home timer, this will be plugged into your wall. You see here we have the two prongs right here, this will be plugged into any standard outlet that you have in your house. Then what you do is go ahead and set the time that you want it to turn on and off. On this dial, this particular unit, there's a whole bunch of times on here, you have your pm and am. So for instance like right now how I have it set, is it would turn on, or excuse me it's already considered on, let me flip it back off. So off, so we'll turn on at let's say right about 3:00, so it flipped, and if you noticed on the top it flipped from off to on. This will actually turn the light on until the red dial comes up, if you can kind of see that. It will spin around, spin around and flip back to off. So what this is, is your green dial, which of course you can slide it around and set it to whatever you want, whatever time you want. And of course your red dial, you can flip it backward, I'll just go forward for right now. And so if we how you want it to be on for a few hours, you'll set it all how you want here. This will spin automatically when it is plugged into the wall. because it will provide power to this which will be the actual timer. So whatever you're going to be plugging into it, even if it's just a stereo, you want music to come on at a certain time, like an alarm clock. You can even have it beep, or of course the main thing is lights while you're out. If you know that you get home after dark, and you do want your light to come on you can go ahead and plug your lights up into here. So, again just make sure your settings are right. You'll hear a little click when you're flipping it on this specific unit; make sure it's off if you want it to be off at that time. And when it does it's thing, get back over to the time, it'll flip it back on. And then it will be on for whatever predetermined time you actually put it on. So that's the basics of a home timer. Go ahead and use this for your home security or whatever else you feel like using it for. But this is your home timer.
