Let's talk a little bit about the thermostat in your house. This seems like it would be a little bit self-explanatory, but some people just don't always know exactly what all these settings are on your thermostat. Of course this is just a standard thermostat that I have built into my house right now. So let me go over some of the settings. Of course, on your main screen will tell you the temperature that it actually is in your house. If, in my case, if the arrow is set over to 'Set', it'll be the temperature that I want it to be at, whether I want to be cooling the house or making the house warmer. Of course if we want to raise the temperature, the set of the temperature, we will go ahead and press up to go up in temp, we'll go press down to go down in temp. As far as the fan, this another big deal that a lot of people don't always understand. You have 'Auto' and you have 'On'. 'Auto', of course, will let the thermostat determine when the fan will be on. So if your house is, for instance I have this, it says my house right now is set for 78. The weather in Florida's been pretty nice, so I've actually got it off right now. But, it just went up to 79. But we'll say that I wanted to cool the house down. Actually I'll just do that really quick. We'll say we'll cool the house down. As you can see, the set light just went on. I have it set currently, let's go down, we'll say 76. So right now with the fan in the auto position, anytime that the house is in auto, or excuse me, at the optimal temperature, which we want it to be at 76, the fan will then shut off. If the temperature changes while in auto mode, the fan will then kick back on, of course this saving you energy. If you don't want that, if you want the house just to be freezing cold the entire time, go ahead and switch your fan to on. This will be on the entire time. This, of course, will eat up electricity, but it will keep your house at the same exact temperature the entire day or the entire night, while you're in, while you're out. It's your choice. So of course to save energy and be a little bit green, we'll go ahead and switch to 'auto'. So now let's talk about these buttons over here. These are all our system settings. We have 'Cool', 'Off', 'Heat' and 'Emergency Heat'. With all these settings here, of course, we'll have the little tab, we'll slide it over to 'Cool'. This will actually be our air conditioner. This will cool down our house automatically, as I have it set here to whatever predetermined temperature we have set. If I want to shut it off, which like I said I've had it off for a little while now because the temperature hasn't been too bad, this will actually shut the system completely off. This will of course save you energy because nothing is running. If we want to go to 'Heat', we'll go ahead and flip to 'Heat'. The same thing, we can go up or down, however we want to set our temperature, we want it to be hotter or colder. On this last thing, it says 'Emergency Heat'. This right here is actually a backup system for your heater. Let's say something's happened to your heater, whether a tree has crushed it or it's actually the heating element has frozen over, you can actually switch over to 'Emergency Heat', and this will be an electrical heating backup system that is actually inside of your house instead of the unit that is outside of your house. So this will keep you warm in the event of, of course, cold weather, if your heater itself, the actual heating element outside isn't working properly. So, of course, don't use this all the time, but this is something that will help you in the backup need for a heater. I'll go ahead and switch back to 'Off', of course, and it should... I have the set on because it's going through, or excuse me, the setter was going on because it's trying to figure out what am I trying to do, flipping on and off. But it will go back. Right now it says inside the house is 81 degrees. But, that's the basics of using your thermostat inside your house. Good luck.
