Hi, this is Jeff Naylor from Mtroniks in Mesa, Arizona for Expert Village. As a musician, I'm always going through cables and its really nice to be able to fix your own cables. In this next section, we're going to learn how to fix an instrument cable. The inner conductor's going to be attached to this piece. The shield will be attached to this piece. Our goal is to wire this in such a way that these will not ever touch each other. I like feeding it through the backside of this hole. Touching it with a little solder. Trimming off the excess. If you notice how long this ground wire is, that's kind of ridiculous, so I'm going to cut it back to about here and I'm going to carefully solder it down to this bottom plate here. I think I'm going to have to add a little bit of solder. You can see how shiny that new solder is. We hold it still until it cools down. If you want to get real fancy, you can actually add a piece of heat shrink once this is done. So now that we've taken care of instrument cable, we're going to move on to speaker cable.
