Introduction to Merengue Dancing

Hi! My name is Christina Haggerty. Welcome to Expert Village. Today I'm going to be teaching you how to dance Merengue. I've been teaching in Los Angles for the past 7 or 8 years. I actually teach in this beautiful restaurant and cafe. This is Silhouette’s night club in Burbank. It's located at 245 East Olive Street and the website is www.cafesilhouette.com. If you'd like more information, I do teach here every Thursday. That class is from 8-9 pm here at Silhouette’s. Every Thursday I teach Latin dance. I've also taught all over Los Angeles. I've traveled all throughout the world and abroad. I've taught in places like Spain, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, all over. It's been wonderful that I've been able to travel and teach, and now I'm bringing it to you. Stay tuned because you're about to learn some basic Merengue steps. I'm going to teach you footwork and then I'm also going to teach you some partnering on Merengue, so get those hips and shoulders ready.
