CHRISTINA HAGGERTY: Hi. I'm Christina Haggerty on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, and today, I'm going to show you how to dance Cha-cha-cha on two, and this LA. style. So here's the basic. We're going to get started. I'm using the one to find the two. The one is very easy to find. So since everybody can usually find the 1 in the music, it has kind of a heavy downbeat. I start on the one, one. All it is a weight shift. I'm using--like I said, I'm using the one to find the two, one break forward, two, left, two, step in place, three, and here's the Cha-cha-cha, Cha-cha-cha. It's a shuffle, again, starting on my right foot on one. Shift the weight one, break forward left two, right foot in place, three, the Cha-cha-cha is just a shuffle. It's a quick step. You're going quick, quick, quick and you're stepping left, right, left. So again, the first half of the Cha-cha basic goes one, two, three, Cha-cha-cha, six, seven, Cha-cha-cha. So that second half that I just showed you an example of it is--resembles the first half of the basic, but now, we're stepping actually back, breaking back, rock step onto the right foot. Left foot in place, and we do our Cha-cha-cha with the right. So that full basic, again, goes right forward left in place, Cha-cha-cha, step back in place, Cha-cha-cha. You continue Cha-cha-cha, slow, slow, quick, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, quick. That is the basic. Notice, I am not lifting my feet. I'm not lifting them high. I am basically just skimming the floor with each step. That is the basic step for Cha-cha-cha.
