What is Resurfacing in Windshield Repair?

Hi, I'm Heath Heine with Clearview Windshield Repair here on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip you are going to see how to resurface the windshield. Now in resurfacing the windshield if there is a little surface pitting, you can actually take your drill and just drill into those slightly, take some regular resin, you are going to apply that regular resin. This is actually used just like a primer before you put on your pit resin and the pit resin is the part that you want to have a little extra of before you apply your cellophane patch. As you've probably noticed that on any of the repairs you do, you are actually resurfacing the little damaged area. You can do this on just surface knicks, clamshells and repairs. The final part, scrape this down flush so that it is smooth across the surface, wipe down any excess shavings you have from scraping away the resin and polish that out.
