How to Cure Resin with Ultraviolet Light

Hi, I'm Heath Heine with Clearview Windshield Repair on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip I am going to show you why it is important to use the ultraviolet light when we don't have the sun. Hi, in the event of working on a windshield repair in a garage, you will actually need to have an ultraviolet lamp known as a UV lamp. With this what happens is the resins that we have are anaerobic which means air does not cure them, they cure by UV light. Again if you are in a garage, make sure that you have your ultraviolet lamp ready to go. And again if you are out in the sun, the sun is just curing this for you. And you can also get these on line at several different locations. Just again punch in maybe Google windshield repair kits so you should be able to find some of these somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 for one of these lights.
