CHRISTIE OWNES: Hi, my name is Christie and I'm with Expert Village and I'm teaching you proper care of fish today and a little bit about the different types of fish. Now, what I'm going to do is demonstrate on how to adjust the water temperature from your sink going through your python. What you want to do is turn your hot water on and sorry, I can't talk over the noise, but it's a little noisy. You turn your hot water on and make sure that you have pure hot water coming out of the tap. When you do this, you're going to turn your cold water on too and turn both of them really up. Before you can adjust the water temperature in your python, you want to drain all of the water of your python hose so that you get an accurate reading of water temperature. And if you're professional such as myself, you can adjust the water temperature using the feel of your hand. You stick your hand in your fish tank, get an idea what the temperature is and stick your hand in your faucet and you'll possibly get an idea what the temperature is there. The water temperature coming out of my sink right now is a little too warm. So, what I'm going to do is cut back on the hot water and get it until this gets right. This may take a few times but in turning the hot water up and down to get it just right. Now I've gotten it a little too cold, so what I'll do is add a little bit more hot water to get it just right. And I have reached the right temperature as far as the water which is about 75 to 76 degrees and this is the temperature of my fish tank that I'm going to fill.
