Determine the Right Headphone Monitoring System for You

On behalf of Expert Village, Kurt Glaser, KGB Studios, Seattle. Let's continue now with our sessions on "How to Use a Two Track Reel to Reel Tape Recorder". You know one thing I wanted to also mention is in the studio when I'm recording on the reel to reel recorder for stereo, what I use, especially is, the drummer and the bass player and the bands, they need some sort of headphone monitoring system. Well this is my own custom made six jack stereo with a volume control and a power supply, it's an active which means it's powered, it's not battery operated, it's AC powered, and this is just a great unit. Power it up, and you just plug your headphones in and you control the volume. It's an amazing amount. Now a lot of the headphones that I use also in the studio is I use with their own volume control, so I set this up very high and then the individual musicians adjust the volume accordingly. This is a great set. I custom built it myself, and Dave if you're watching, for your design on that, hey thanks Dave for all the help and back. This thing has been flawless for almost thirty years, love it!
