Hi, I'm Gretchen Soares and welcome to Expert Village. Today we're going to be making soy candles. Okay, in this clip we're going to be talking about choosing our container and what we can put a soy candle in. Basically anything that is glass or metal can hold a soy candle. We can not use plastic because the heat from the wick would melt the plastic and that would not be good. And some people like a container, you can put a lid on so that when you're not burning it the scent doesn't come out or others like an open container so that it scents the entire room. You have a choice of either. You can even use recycled products like an old teacup and saucer make a very cute decoration for a table or something along those lines. Okay, a soy candle has to be in a container because when it melts it actually liquefies and you can pour it out. If it wasn't in a container than that would simply just get all over the counter. So it must be contained inside some sort of container so that when it liquefies and burns it doesn't make a mess.
