Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today we are going to make a beautiful mushroom and butterfly incense burner out of polymer clay. For this next step we're going to create two antennas for our butterfly. So you're going to take some craft wire. You want to make sure when you're selecting your wire that you get wire that is extremely pliable. You want to make sure that it's not coated with anything because we are going to put this in the oven and we don't want it melting. You want to get a wire that's fairly flexible and you also want to get a wire that's not too heavy. So you're going to calculate about how long you want your antennas. And I would say probably about an inch. So we're going to go ahead and cut them a little bit longer than an inch because we're going to make them twirl. So if you want them to come out an inch you're going to go ahead and make them a little bit longer than an inch. So, cut one piece and then another just like it. Then you're going to take a few crystals and I chose orange and pink because I want them to match the butterfly and the mushroom. I chose the orange to bring out the colors in the mushroom and I picked pink to match with the eyes of the butterfly. So you're going to take two crystals on each wire. You're going to take your two crystals and put them on the end of one of the wires, you're going to move them up a little bit, and then you're going to take your wire fold it around the crystals to have a shape kind of like this. So we're now going to put the antennas in the butterfly, and you want to go a little bit slanted. You don't want them poking straight out. The deeper you go the more secure the crystals will be.
