How to Warmup Before Juggling

EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now, as with most of my series on Expert Village, I want to take this clip to emphasize drilling and warming up and playing around with combinations of various tricks. It is important to keep a good posture and a good balance. Now, the reasons for this are just because if you train your muscles from one standard, they're more likely to react and act on a more consistent level than they would be if you're constantly trying to recover throws from everywhere. So, short control runs are usually how we teach people to learn these tricks, which I've mentioned several times in the past. This is not something I harp on great as hard as some of the more intense jugglers in the world but it does make a big difference when learning new things. Parallel feet, about shoulders width apart, shoulders back, head up. We all tend to scrunch up occasionally and that's okay especially when we're concentrated but if you're getting frustrated, you'll find that doing this once in a while will definitely help you. Also, play around with linking all tricks together, side swaps, non-side swaps, whether you understand them or not, can be linked pretty cool or pretty well with the number of multiplexes, body throws, you name it. So play around with things, have fun, pick a couple of tricks that you want to figure out how to link together and via use of as little or as minimal transition throws as possible, combine them to have small sequences that kind of drill and challenge you. Good luck.
